Abstract: Cyber-Attack Resilient Control Systems
The Office of Naval Research (ONR) is interested in developing novel approaches to establish attack resilience in cyber-physical systems. This talk will discuss our high-level approach to the problem, which leverages a physical system’s natural inertia to make the overall system more tolerant of malicious inputs.
Dr. Ryan Craven is a program officer in the cyber science and technology program at the Office of Naval Research (ONR). Prior to managing research efforts at ONR Dr. Craven led computer network security and data center optimization projects at the Space and Naval Warfare (SPAWAR) Systems Center, a command within the U.S. Navy. He received his Ph.D. in Computer Science from the Naval Postgraduate School in Monterey, CA where his research focused on end-to-end detection of network middleboxes in the Internet.
